About Me

I write for you.

My name is Makasha Dorsey, hence the site name, MakashaDorsey.com. I am the wife of Tredell, the mother of two boys, a writer, a full-time student, a crafter, and a Christian.

Several years ago my husband and I started DORSEY Publications in order to create a platform to publish our books and to help others write, design, and market their own. But, life got in the way – I found out I was pregnant a few weeks after the release of my first novel, The Church House. So, I took some time off. Now, we are back in full swing and ready to serve.

This is my blog. I may go on rants about motherhood, politics, road rage, and the stupid (a bad word at my house) things people do. I write book and product reviews. I may even post excerpts of my writing assignments to get feedback – you know professor feedback doesn’t necessarily engage conversation.

Did I mention that I am a crafter? Yes – in the introduction. I sell my products at Etsy.com and there is a store here that will redirect you to my Etsy store just in case you decide to buy something.

Lastly, I am a Christian. My vision is to have my words, work, and thoughts inspire you to be better. I am not perfect, just a follower of Christ. If I happen to write something that uplifts you, please comment. If I offend you, I’d like to hear from you too.
